Welcome Gentlemen.

To Our Dearest Competitors,

Let me tell you something. This is going to be the greatest golf tournament the West Kootenays has ever seen. Possibly the greatest tournament in Canadian history. People are saying that. Very smart people.

For the first time ever — and this is historic, nobody has done this before — the Jude Law Invitational is coming to the West Kootenays. We've been all over the world. Tremendous places. Beautiful places. But we are here now and frankly this is where we always should have been.

Before we look ahead — and the future is very bright, believe me — we must acknowledge what happened last year. Last year we held our very own Ryder Cup. Sixteen men. Two teams. Three days in the East Kootenays. It was incredible. Maybe the most competitive thing any of us have ever been part of. And when it was over — when the dust settled and the scorecards were counted — Team Law claimed the Chalice. They won. Bigly. We are very proud of them. Some people on Team Jude are still not over it. We won't name names. They know who they are.

This year the format is completely different. Better. Much much better. Individual stroke play. Three days. Three magnificent courses. A live leaderboard that everyone can see at all times. There will be nowhere to hide. And on Day 3, a snake draft scramble that will either forge the greatest partnerships this tournament has ever seen — or expose the most catastrophic ones. Either way, it's going to be fantastic television.

The prizes this year are incredible. The best prizes. We're not going to tell you what they are. That's called suspense. But trust me — you are going to want to win. You are going to want to win very badly.

A few final notes:

To Ben — we remember what you did last year. Both rounds. Many people — very knowledgeable golf people — have reviewed those scorecards. Multiple times. What happened out there will go down in history as one of the most audacious performances any of us have ever witnessed. We're not saying it was cheating. We're not not saying it. The committee has been fully briefed. We are watching, Ben. Very closely.

To Mike T — everybody knows what's happening with that handicap. Golf Canada knows. The people in the group chat know. The committee knows. It's frankly a disgrace. Fix it before June 12 or we will fix it for you. And we will not be gentle about it.

To Joel — The Quiet Storm. Still waters. Still birdies. Saying absolutely nothing. A very, very dangerous man. Tremendous.

To Clay — your chipping was a total disaster last year. A complete and utter disaster. You've had all winter. All winter. No excuses. None whatsoever.

And finally — it has come to our attention that this year's field is stacked with gingers. An absolutely historic number of gingers. Nobody has ever seen this many gingers at a golf tournament. It is, by every measure, tremendous. They will be easy to spot on the fairway. Do not underestimate them. The gingers are fired up. They are ready. You have been warned.

Schedule

Rules of Engagment

This is a multi-day individual stroke play event. Think The Masters, but in the Kootenays, and with considerably more personality.

Days 1 and 2 are individual stroke play with net scores. Your score is your score. The leaderboard updates daily. After Day 2, players are ranked by cumulative net score and a snake draft determines Day 3 two-man scramble pairings: 1st with 28th, 2nd with 27th, 3rd with 26th, and so on.

Day 3 Team Handicap: Each player contributes 35% of their course handicap. Combined, that is your team's net allowance. Example: a 12 and a 20 = 11 strokes net. Golf Canada approved.

Two Championships. One Weekend.

· Individual Championship — lowest cumulative net score across all 3 days. 1st, 2nd, 3rd.

· Team Championship — best net scramble score on Day 3. 1st, 2nd.

    Tie Breakers

Individual Championship ties → playoff starting at Hole 1, continuing hole by hole until resolved. Team Championship ties → closest to the pin on Hole 9 at Balfour Golf Club. Draft order ties → lower handicap index gets the advantage.

  • Geometric drawing of an outline square with sections divided by vertical, horizontal, and half circle lines.

    Handicap Requirements

All players must carry a valid Golf Canada Handicap Index. Course Handicaps — adjusted for each specific course and tee — will be used for net scoring each day. If you do not yet have an official Golf Canada handicap, register at golfcanada.ca immediately. No exceptions.

  • Geometric drawing of an outline square with sections divided by vertical, horizontal, and circle lines.

    Etiquette

Be an honest man, man. Rake bunkers, fix ball marks, tip your caps. No gimmies. Hole everything out. This is a stroke play tournament. Pace of play is sacred. Keep up or face public humiliation. What happens in the Kootenays stays in the Kootenays.

This year's prize table is the finest in the history of this tournament.
