Golf Courses For 2026
Rules and Format
-
The Jude Law Invitational takes place June 11–14, 2026 in the West Kootenays, BC. June 11 is arrival day. Golf is played across three iconic regional courses — Creston Golf Club (June 12), Kokanee Springs Golf Course (June 13), and Balfour Golf Club (June 14).
-
Days 1 and 2 are individual stroke play with net scores. Day 3 is a two-man scramble with teams determined by a snake draft based on your cumulative net score from Days 1 and 2.
-
This is a multi-day net stroke play event — think The Masters format. Your net score from each day accumulates across all three rounds. The individual with the lowest cumulative net score is crowned the Jude Law Invitational Champion. Day 3 scramble results also count toward your individual total.
-
After Day 2, players are ranked by their cumulative net score. The snake draft then pairs 1st with 36th, 2nd with 35th, 3rd with 34th, and so on — ensuring the top players are distributed evenly across all 18 teams.
-
All players must carry an active Golf Canada Handicap Index. Course Handicaps — adjusted for each specific course and tee — are used for net scoring each day. If you don't have one, you'll need to register through Golf Canada before the event.
-
Teams play off a combined handicap calculated using Golf Canada's official scramble formula: each player contributes 35% of their Course Handicap. For example, a 12 and a 20 handicap combine for 11 strokes of net allowance.
-
Individual Championship ties are resolved by hole playoff starting at Hole 1. Team Championship ties are settled by closest to the pin on Hole 9 at Balfour Golf Club. Draft order ties go to the player with the lower handicap index.
-
Prizes are awarded for both the Individual Championship (1st, 2nd, 3rd) and the Team Championship (1st, 2nd, 3rd). The prize pool scales based on the final number of participants.
-
Entry is $250 per player. A 50% deposit of $125 is required via e-transfer to c.rickaby9@gmail.com to confirm your spot. The field is capped at 36 players — spots are held on a first-paid basis.
